Michael Rankin has been a professional musical educator for over 20 years and has taught in primary and secondary education as well as early childhood.
He grew up in Yeppoon, attending Yeppoon primary as well as Yeppoon High Schools. He started his training in the instrumental music program at Yeppoon High before going on to complete a Bachelor of Teaching, Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma of Music Studies degrees over the next 15 years.
He has also qualified for the Australian Kodaly Certificate in Music Education as well as completing a number of exams through the Australian Music Examinations Board and Trinity College. He is a member of the Kodaly Music Educators Institute of Australia and a registered Do-Re-Mi Music for Kids teacher.
Michael's musical interests include choral music for children and community concert bands.
